About Digital
Digital dictation is the recording and storing of voice in a digital format on a chip, disk or computer's hard drive. It has many advantages over the traditional analogue recordings:
Recording quality does not deteriorate over time.- Recording quality does not deteriorate with repeated playback.
- Sound files do not get "chewed" up.
- Add dictation within the recording without erasing existing dictation.
- Prioritising important parts of the recording is easy with digital.
- An urgent sound file can be split between more than one secretary.
The digital voice recorder can either be linked directly to the PC or can be used independently from it, with data then transferred to the computer system via a USB cable as and when required. And, best of all, the equipment is as easy to use as the traditional analogue recorder.
Once in the system, the dictation is saved as a file on the PC.
Email the sound file to DTFL. We will reply acknowledging receipt. On completion, the documents are emailed back to you ready for use.
It is this ease of management and speed of distribution which has opened up new possibilities for fast, accurate, cost-effective transcription. Sending a file for transcription is as easy as attaching it to an email and clicking "send".
